Feral Artifacts was born in late 2022 out of the need to escape the suffocating constraints of the corporate world. Inspired by the ancient and natural worlds, each adornment is made using beads from around the globe. No two are the same, though the method used to create them is. Adjustable and durable, there is a piece for everyone. Jewelry is showcased on salvaged wood found locally and afar, as well as incorporated into home decor that can be displayed on a wall or in windows. Feral Artifacts offers the opportunity to rekindle the sense of wonder about our past as human beings and the still very primal, natural world around us.

Each piece is created and then categorized as either Ouroborus or Oreikhalkon.
This is based on the beads and or stones used to assemble the piece.

The Ouroboros is an ancient symbol depicting a serpent or dragon eating its own tail. The Ouroboros expresses the unity of all things, material and spiritual. Heavily used in alchemical traditions, the Ouroboros reminds us we are part of the eternal cycle of destruction and recreation.

Ouroboros

“Orichalcum” is a legendary metal described by the Athenian philosopher, Plato, in his great work, Critias. Said to have been mined in the lost continent of Atlantis and coated the walls of the central citadel. Translated to oreikhalkon by the later ancient Greeks, was later adapted to the Latin aurichalcum meaning “golden copper” which became the standard term for brass.
